CFIA's mission could be summed up as follows: to stand alongside the leading French manufacturing sector and work together to identify the challenges and solutions of tomorrow. As part of its mission, CFIA Rennes offers a wide range of conferences and themed areas!
What will food-processing factories look like in the future? What will the crisis in ingredients and raw materials change in the short, medium, and long term? How to attract younger people to the companies in the food-processing community?
These and other major issues will be addressed during the exhibition's 3 days, with insights and feedback from experts!
Conferences
Nearly 40 conferences are to be discovered on the CFIA Rennes. In addition to its exhibitor offer, the food industry event makes a point of proposing a rich programme of interventions, led by experts in the field and local and national actors.
They address issues that represent a major challenge for LPNs from all walks of life, such as eco-design of packaging, plant transition, rising raw material prices and new food trends to name a few!
Innovation Awards
Each year, the CFIA is a showcase of agri-food innovation and offers a wide range of new products thanks to the products presented by its exhibitors in 4 sectors and specificities: Ingredients & PAI, Equipment & Processes, Packaging & Packaging and finally Quality, Hygiene, Safety & Environment.
At the last edition in 2022, nearly 80 innovations were submitted to a jury composed of professionals and experts from the IAA. The Innovation Awards are also a unique opportunity to support the momentum of a constantly changing agri-food sector.
Agribusiness Employment
The largest French industrial sector, agri-food is also the main employer and is constantly in need of recruitment (80,510 recruitment projects in 2021 according to Pôle Emploi).
In view of this, the CFIA is committed to employment in the agri-food sector on several levels. In recent years, this commitment has taken the form of speed-dating on the show, pitches led by experts delivering the keys to retaining new employees, and finally an immersive virtual reality space to show the reality of an agri-food factory.
Agro-Plant of the future
The Agri-Food Factory is constantly evolving, in response to legislative developments, consumer expectations or the many final objectives of each other. To support this movement, the CFIA is setting up «L'Usine Agro du Futur», one of the show’s flagship events.
An event organized around a theme evolving every year – for example the low-carbon factory in 2022 - also enhanced by the presence of a complete line in operation and various startups offering their innovative solutions to invent together the agri-food industry of tomorrow.
